Well Lovely is certainly starting to take on a matronly appearance these days. Here abdominal area is quite obviously growing now and friends or acquaintances that see her quickly comment on her plump tummy. On the “factual side” – the measurement of Lovely’s mid-section was approximately 63 cm. in diameter during her first week of pregnancy. Currently we are pushing 78 cm. and I know we are far from finished…
As far as the puppies are concerned, at this stage of development the fetuses are starting to take on their own puppy face. Toes, whisker buds and skin pigment are all starting to develop and the fetuses have almost doubled in size from last week.
Lovely enjoyed a trip to the arena yesterday for a hockey game (my son Josh had a big game against the Gravenhurst Flames) and of course she was only too happy to soak up all the attention from the attending spectators. She has always been such a people magnet ! She continues to keep to herself more than usual when at home with all the other goldies – but is always more than willing to go for a walk or a car ride with me.
We will be counting the days now until the big event !!
I just wanted to post a picture of Lovely playing today in the snow. She is such a happy girl – even though she doesn’t join the others in too many games these days. The warmer rainy weather from the last few days has subsided and things are colder again. With the new-fallen snow all the goldens were out frolicking about today and enjoying the fluffy stuff. Lovely continues to be quieter than usual but is always up for a walk no matter what….
